Our default scanning method is using a technology called TWAIN. This has been around for decades and is very stable/compatible - however, in recent times manufacturers are not installing TWAIN drivers by default and/or providing substandard ones.
One workaround is to use an alternate scanning technology called WIA. Medilink has an implementation of this which is still in early days, but can be used if you are having problems using TWAIN.
From the DMS File Menu go to Options then tick Scan Using WIA.
The Scanner Settings area has simple options, or you can choose when scanning (i.e. use the WIA interface to pick the scanning settings on the fly).
