When entering a referral for a patient, this option will default select ‘Calc Referral Expiry On First Serv’.
Medilink has just one field for referral date, the Referral Letter Date.
Medilink can work out the Referral Expiry using the referral letter date plus the referral period.
Note | using the Letter date is not always accurate.
This option tries to calculate the real Expiry Date based on the first service date where it can find this referral.
It may come at the cost of performance with larger sites being most affected by a few extra seconds when loading a patient.
