If Medilink Launcher opens and Logins in, but the main Medilink window just flashes up a small box briefly then disappears, you may have ran in to a Data Execution Prevention (DEP) issue.
The main Medilink executable MPW2000.EXE needs to be excluded from this in order for it to run for Windows Server PCs in particular (as they typically have DEP on by default).
Open Explorer and right click This PC and go to Properties OR go to Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items -> System
Advanced System Settings
Advanced Tab
Performance Section -> Settings Button
Data Execution Prevention Tab
If Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select
Add C:\MEDILINK32BNT\BIN\MPW2000.EXE (or whereever your Medilink is installed).
Apply/OK
In some cases you will also need to add this for Windows 10/11 even if it's not Enabled (due to a weird quirk). If the above scenario describes what you're seeing, try Enabling it then adding the exclusions, Apply changes, then Disable it again.
