Referring to 7.3.2, the Same Day Delete button is available only if the claim is ACCESSED and the claim is younger than 1 day. And if the claim was made at 11 pm last nigh, and now is 1 am, the claim is 1 day old already, even though also just 2 hours old.

Locate the invoice which is associated with the claim.
Press the $ button.
Then continue with what in 7.3.2.
