Network
We have identified that when LAN computers are configured to run both WiFi and Ethernet, the performance of the Medilink database can be extremely poor.
Start -> Type NETWORK and click on the System Settings.
Make sure Network connections are Ethernet, not WiFi, and are set to Private, not Public.
If it is Public, go to Ethernet Properties to change it to Private.
Also go to Change Adapter Options and Disble WiFi.
Anti-Virus
Start -> Type SECURITY and click on Windows Security
You may have to turn on Windows Security -> Allow Periodic Scanning
Make sure Virus & Threat Protection Settings -> Manage Settings -> Exclusions has the following:
(Note: if you have third party anti-virus, these exclusions should be in both that software and Windows Security)

- \\YOUR_SERVER_NAME\MEDILINK
- C:\MEDILINK32BNT (or where installed, maybe D:\MEDILINK32BNT etc.)
