We are aware that some users are reporting issues with Letters going missing.


This may be caused by a bug in Microsoft Word whereby if you Close Word and use the Save feature (from Close), it moves the file to the Recycle Bin.


The best workaround for this scenario:


ALWAYS SAVE (CTRL+S) BEFORE CLOSING WORD


To resolve already missing letters, please check your Recycle Bin and right-click Restore any obvious Medilink Letters. Warning: if you clear your Recycle Bin the Letter(s) will be gone!


Note: this is not inherently a Medilink issue, and is a fault of Microsoft Word itself, although it is in part due to the way in which we run Microsoft Word (via a method called ShellExecute) and that the file extension is capitalised.
