In order to access the HI Services required for ePrescribing, your practice needs to have their Healthcare Provider Identifier for Organisations (HPI-O).
If you have an existing HPI-O number then you should be able to view it in PRODA. https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/set-up-healthcare-identifiers-for-your-organisation?context=20
If you do not already have your HPI-O number then you will need to apply and setup through PRODA.
3. HPI-I
We also need to retrieve the HPI-I number for each provider who wishes to use the ePrescribing system. If you don’t know it I believe you can look it up on APHRA, PRODA or Health Identifier Service.
